We have begun working with a talented group of emerging leaders at Port Otago on an 18 month development programme.
The programme is designed to enable participants to develop key skills and be better prepared for senior executive leadership roles within the organisation. The programme has a strong focus on action learning including individual projects within the organisation. 'Fact finding' visits to outside organisations will be a real highlight of the programme.
The first project for this talented group will involve designing and leading a major organisational conference. Key themes for the programme include leadership, critical thinking, gaining competitive advantage, unlocking productivity and leading change.
The programme will extend over 18 months and include a major team project on an issue of importance to Port Otago. The leadership group will present their findings, recommendations and change plan to the senior executive.
